New DelHI: More than 2 crore teens in the 15-18 age group received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in less than a week of the childhood immunization campaign, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said today.

With the administration of more than 90 lakh (90,59,360) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the national total exceeded 150.61 crore (150,61,92,903), according to interim reports updated to 7am.

"Great Going, My Little Friends. Young people over 2 crore between the ages of 15-18 have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in less than a week of childhood immunization," Mr Mandaviya tweeted.

According to health officials, more than 91 percent of adults in the country have received at least one dose of the vaccine and more than 66 percent have been vaccinated with both doses.
